All that happened today in the Parliament: FM's speech, Congress walkout

• What: There was a detailed discussion in the Lok Sabha today regarding the issue of price rise. Union Finance Minister Sitharaman today while replying to the Lok Sabha stated that there is zero probability of India slipping into stagflation or recession.

• Why: This statement came in response to a number of opposition leaders like Congress’ Manish Tewari, TMC’s Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar and DMK’s Kanimozhi targeting the government over fuel and food inflation and GST implementation.

• Opposition response: The Congress MPs in the Lok Sabha staged a walkout from the session during the Finance Ministers' speech.
