Prime Minister Modi met his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Monday. Putin's India trip is the second overseas trip since the onset of the pandemic.
India and Russia signed 28 agreements. The meeting between the two leaders happened after the foreign and defence ministers had their '2+2' dialogue on critical strategic issues.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reiterated that India is looking for sensitive partners and accused Chinese actions.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also mentioned cooperation in the economic sector.
The Russian President called India a 'great power' and aimed Russia's cooperation in terrorism, terrorism funding, drug trafficking, and Afghanistan's situation.
India and Russia held their military exercises and aimed to cooperate further.
