During the virtual SCO meeting held on Monday, all the members of the Shanghai Cooperation Orgnisation (SCO) barring India, once again expressed their support for China's initiative- One Belt and One Road (OBOR).
India has been critical of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which is a part of China's OBOR. The CPEC is a $50 billion project, that passes through the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
The virtual summit which was hosted by India, headed by Vice President Venkiah Naidu, saw Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan reaffirming their commitment to the OBOR. On the other hand, India maintains it's stance that such an initiative violates the sacred values of territorial sovereignty and integrity of the participating members.
