All about Russia-US key meet at Geneva

  • President Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin emerged from their summit Wednesday with the Russian leader deeming it “constructive” and the U.S. president calling it “positive.” But back-to-back news conferences made clear that the two sides remain at odds over human rights, cyberattacks and Ukraine.

  • Biden also said that there was no substitute of face to face meeting and told Mr. Putin that his agenda was not against Russia but for the American people

  • Notably Biden made it clear that consequences for Russia would be devastating if jailed opposition leader Alexei Navalny died

  • Both sides although are yet to cooperate on major issues but showed commitments to restore START arms limitation treaty and work on nuclear stability
