Akhil Gogoi permitted to meet family on parole

• A special NIA court in Guwahati has allowed Raijor Dal MLA from Sivasagar parliamentary seat Akhil Gogoi, who is now in Judicial Custody, to visit his family in Jorhat district in upper Assam.

• According to lawyer Krishna Gogoi, a petition was filed with the court asking permission for Gogoi to meet with his family members, and the court gave him two days (48 hours) to do so.
