Agri-exports to grow 15% in FY22

  • On Friday, the Government of India announced that the agricultural exports of India are projected to grow 15% in the financial year 2021-22.

  • According to the data, the export of products like rice, meat, cereals, and dairy items soared by 44.3% to $4.81 billion during April-June 2021.

  • “The exports of fresh fruits & vegetables registered a 9.1% growth, while shipment of processed food products like cereals preparations and miscellaneous processed items reported a growth of 69.6%," the Union Commerce & Industry ministry said.
