Afghans celebrate Eid amid heavy firing by Taliban

• Taliban’s violence continues even as several analysts felt that it would announce a ceasefire in order to let Afghans celebrate Eid in peace.

• On Tuesday Just before Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani was slated to deliver his address to mark Eid-a-Adha, at least three rockets hit an area near the presidential palace.

• This comes as 95 percent of NATO and US forces have withdrawn from the afghan soil.

• President Ashraf Ghani has been meeting several world leaders amid the growing vaccum caused by withdrawal of US troops and the successive control of provinces being gained by Taliban.
