Afghan crisis: India sees hike in dry fruit prices

  • With the Taliban sealing the borders of Afghanistan, it has led to a stoppage in the import-export transactions of the country with India. Due to this, prices of dry fruits have gone up by 15-20%.

  • It is said that the prices may shoot up even more during the festive and winter season if the trade does not commence soon.

  • Indian importers, however, are of the view that this suspension is temporary and regular import-export activities will resume soon in the next few days.
