Actor Deep Sidhu, accused in Red Fort violence, arrested

• Actor and Activist Deep Sidhu was on Tuesday morning arrested by Special cell of Delhi Police. Deep Sidhu was accused in the violence that took place at the Red Fort on January 26, during the farmers' tractor march.

• The Delhi Police had announced a reward of Rs. 1 lakh for any leads on Deep Sidhu and three others accused with him.

• While the police had been looking for Deep Sidhu, he had been uploading videos on Facebook page defending himself. The Police said that the videos were being uploaded/posted by his friend abroad.

• The Police had accused the actor of leading a group to the Red Fort to create a ruccus on Republic Day and create a scene of violence.

• A Press Conference regarding Deep Sidhu’s arrest will be held by the Delhi Police at the PRO, Media Centre at 12pm today.
