Dalit labour activist, Nodeep Kaur, who was arrested from her tent at the protest site at Kundli border point on January 12, was granted bail today in the third and last case against her, that of attempt to murder, by the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
Nodeep Kaur had been protesting to demand higher wages for labourers working in factories and had also extended her support for the farmers' protests and raised voice against the three farm laws.
Her sister, Rajveer Kaur, had also stated that Nodeep Kaur had been beaten by the male police officers present at the police station and that she was sexually assaulted as well, since there were injuries on her private parts. The court is yet to look into the medical reports of Nodeep Kaur completely.
