Accused Ariz Khan convicted of Inspector’s killing in Batla House encounter
A court today convicted Indian Mujahideen terrorist Ariz Khan in the 2008 Batla House encounter, in which Ariz Khan has escaped.
His sentencing has been scheduled for next Monday by the court. The encounter in national capital had led to the killing of one inspector while other two sustained injuries.
Ariz Khan is also known to be the person behind the series of bombings that took place in 2008 across Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Uttar Pradesh.
Ariz Khan, a resident of Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh, was arrested by the Delhi police's Special Cell in February 2018. Three of his accomplices were killed during the encounter while one other was convicted in 2013.
