Above 18 yrs of age to get vaccinated for free in Delhi

  • On Monday Delhi government announced a free vaccination drive for all above 18 years of age from 1 May.

  • Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced the purchase of 1.34 crore vaccines by the government. Delhi government has ensured urgently making COVID-19 vaccine available on a large scale.

  • Delhi CM said, "In this crucial time government is not estimating profit only looking to work selflessly for humanity. Government has urged the central government to cap vaccine prices".

However, the Serum Institute of India (SII), has set a price bar of ₹400 for government hospitals and ₹600 for Covidshield vaccine in private hospitals. Whereas, Bharat Biotech has set ₹600 for state hospitals and ₹1,200 costs for Covexin vaccine in private hospitals.
