
About the world’s tallest woman
• 24-year-old Rumeysa Gelgi from Turkey has now become the world’s tallest living woman with a heigh of 7ft 0.7in.
• She was given the title of world’s tallest living female teenager in 2018 when she was 18-year-old.
• Ms. Gelgi is said to be suffering from Weaver Syndrome which accelerated growth and caused other abnormalities such as skeletal maturation.
• Ms. Gelgi said that she is the first case of Weaver Syndrome in Turkey.
• In the video released by Guiness World Records, she said, “I was born with some serious physical diseases, such as scoliosis. And also I am a physically disabled person, who is mostly wheelchair-bound and I can walk only with my walker.”
