About the Swiss assisted dying clinic

• The Dignitas centre in Switzerland is a Swiss non-profit members’ society that provides assisted/accompanied suicide to those members of the organization that suffer from terminal illness and/or severe physical and/or mental illness.

• In order to become a member of Dignitas one has to pay an annual fee of only 80 Swiss francs. When a member is ready to die that have to send in copies of their medical records along with a letter explaining why things on their end have become intolerable and $2510.

• These filed are then dispatched to one of Dignitas’ affiliated doctors who view and consider on the medical history whether or not a prescription for the fatal dose should be written.

• After getting a green signal, members can contact the staff and schedule a date and offer advice on hotels.

• After arriving in Zurich, the member must pay for two appointments with the doctor and for two Dignitas staff members to organize and witness the death.
