
About the 8-year-old whose book has years long waitlist at library
• 8-year-old Dillon Helbig, a second grader who lives in Idaho hand wrote a children’s book and sneaked it into the shelf of the local library. • Soon enough the 8-year-old’s book became a hit among readers and is now on the waitlist of the library.
• Helbig kept it a secret from his family but later decided to tell his mom that he had kept his book in the library. • They went to the library to check and the book was missing and got to know that it had already spread amongst readers.
• The book titled ‘The Adventures of Dillon’s Crismis’ has won the 2021 Whoodini Award for Best Young Novelist, said the library.
