About the 74-year-old ‘Skipping Sikh’

• 74-year-old Rajinder Singh, a keen runner turned his attention to skipping when Britain went under lockdown, making Singh miss his weekly five-kilometre Park Run organized every Saturday.

• Singh told CNN Sport, “I’m not an expert but if you do five-minute skipping honestly it’s like running three kilometres. Just skipping inside your house or in your garden. You don’t even need trainers, just a rope.”

• The ‘Skipping Singh’ posts daily videos of his workout online in an attempt to encourage other to keep active during the lockdown.

• He can also be seen lifting heavy watering cans and sprinting through his allotment in his video to work on his strength and conditioning.
