
A shining end to Tokyo Paralympics for India. Read the brief.
In the Rio Paralympics in 2016, India had sent a contingent of only 19 athletes. Four years later in Tokyo, India had a total of 19 medals! India had a smashing end to the Tokyo Paralympics yesterday.
India won a total of 5 Gold medals. Many records were broken and acheived in the of the two weeks of these games! Avani Lekhari became the first Indian female to win a Gold in Paralympics. Sumit Antil not only won the Gold, but also created a world record in men's Javelin throw (F64).
Harvinder Singh by winning a Bronze became the first Indian to win a medal in Para shooting! Bhavina Patel won India's first ever medal in Table Tennis by clinching a Silver medal.
