A setback for US-Iran nuclear deal

  • As Iran has elected its conservative president and hardline judicial clerk Ebrahim Raisi things might change in the ongoing US-Iran talks of the restoration of the nuclear deal

  • Although US may have a hard time in bringing the new president to the table for talks ,Raisi has already madde his intentions clear

  • Concerning the talks over Iran’s nuclear deal, Raisi promised to salvage the accord to secure relief from U.S. sanctions that have devastated the Iranian economy. But he ruled out any limits to Iran’s missile capabilities and support for regional militias — among other issues viewed by Washington as shortcomings of the landmark deal that the Biden administration wants addressed.

  • Lastly he stated that the nuclear deal was "non-negotiable"
