
A month since Farmers Protests. Check out the latest developments.
As the farmers protests have entered its 30th day, marking a month since their Delhi Chalo call, the farmers have decided to meet with Centre on December 29 at 11am.
The farmer organisations are still firm on their decision to repeal the farm laws and want the Centre to discuss the modalities of the repeal of the farm laws.
They also wish to discuss the implementation of MSP as suggested by the National Farmers Commission.
Further, farmer unions have asked for more people to join the protests with their tractors and trolleys. Farmers will be taking out a Tractor March from Singhu to Tikri to Shahjahanpur on December 30.
On the political end, Hanuman Beniwal led Rashtriya Loktantrik Party has quit the BJP led NDA. Beniwal said that he can’t stand with those against the farmers.
Former Lok Sabha MP Harinder Singh Khalsa from Punjab has also quit the BJP over the farmer’s issue.
