A month since Farmers Protests. Check out the latest developments.

  • As the farmers protests have entered its 30th day, marking a month since their Delhi Chalo call, the farmers have decided to meet with Centre on December 29 at 11am.

  • The farmer organisations are still firm on their decision to repeal the farm laws and want the Centre to discuss the modalities of the repeal of the farm laws.

  • They also wish to discuss the implementation of MSP as suggested by the National Farmers Commission.

  • Further, farmer unions have asked for more people to join the protests with their tractors and trolleys. Farmers will be taking out a Tractor March from Singhu to Tikri to Shahjahanpur on December 30.

  • On the political end, Hanuman Beniwal led Rashtriya Loktantrik Party has quit the BJP led NDA. Beniwal said that he can’t stand with those against the farmers.

  • Former Lok Sabha MP Harinder Singh Khalsa from Punjab has also quit the BJP over the farmer’s issue.
