9 year-old environment activist stages protest at Vijay Chowk

  • Amid rising Delhi pollution and the ongoing blame-game between the AAP led Delhi government and BJP led Central government, a 9-yr-old climate and environment activist, Licypriya Kangujam staged a protest in Delhi's Vijay Chowk.

  • She called attention to the issue of air pollution in the national capital. She held a hand-written poster demanding 'permanent solution' for air pollution. She said, "I want our leaders to take immediate action to fight air pollution. They are busy blaming each other instead of finding a solution. No action is being taken."

  • Her guardians through her official Twitter handle said that she had been detained and taken to an undisclosed location.
