In the recently released World, Air Quality report by the tech company IQ Air 9 out of the top 10 most polluted cities in the World are from India
These 9 cities are Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Bisrakh Jalalpur, Bhiwadi, Noida, Greater Noida, Kanpur, Lucknow, and Delhi.
The report stated that India has shown overall progress in several cities with 63 per cent reporting direct improvements over 2019 averages.
The progress can be attributed to India's National Clean Air Program (NCAP) which was launched in 2019 and aims to reduce air pollution by 20-30 per cent from 2017 base levels till 2024
