One individual has been apprehended in Tilak Nagar, Delhi, for reportedly raping an 87-year-old grandmother. On Sunday, the accused reportedly raped the woman, assaulted her, and escaped with her cellphone, according to police.
The tragedy occurred on a Sunday afternoon while the survivor's 65-year-old daughter was out on a walk.
According to family members, the man broke into the house, and when questioned by the elderly woman, he claimed to work for a gas company and had been called to the house for work.
The accused, 30, works as a sweeper in a West Delhi society.
