6 out of top 10 most valued firms suffer loss of ₹96,642 crores in their market valuation

  • Last week, 6 out of 10 most valued firms in India suffered a loss of ₹96,642 crores cumulatively in their market valuation.

  • These 6 companies include- Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), HDFC Bank, Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) , HDFC and Kotak Mahindra Bank.

  • Infosys, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India and Bajaj Finance were the only gainers.

  • Infosys gained ₹8475 crores, ICICI Bank gained ₹4210 crores, Bajaj Finance gained ₹2972 crores and State Bank of India gained ₹2275 crores.

  • Reliance Industries Limited was the biggest loser as it suffered a loss of ₹44,249 crores.

  • TCS suffered a loss of ₹16,479 crores. HDFC lost ₹7,827 crores, Hindustan Unilever Ltd. lost ₹5,920 crores, Kotak Mahindra Bank lost ₹13,511 crores and HDFC Bank lost ₹8,653 crores in their respective market valuations.

  • The top 10 most valued firms include- RIL, TCS, HDFC Bank, Infosys, HUL, ICICI Bank, HDFC, State Bank of India, Bajaj Finance and Kotak Mahindra Bank.
