On Tuesday, the Income Tax Department informed via tweet that over 5.95 crore Income Tax Returns have been filed for Financial Year 2019-20 till 10th January 2021.

In comparison to the last year, 5% more income tax returns have been filed this year.
The due date for the filing of Income Tax Returns has been extended till 10th January for individuals and 15th February for companies.
