5 Bengal BJP MLAs Quit Official WhatsApp Group After Failing to Feature in Party's New Committee

  • In a new setback for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in West Bengal, five BJP legislators have left the party's official WhatsApp group as they/their community leaders were not given priority in Saturday's district-level reshuffle.

  • Asim Sarkar (Haringhata MLA in Nadia), Ambika Roy (Kalyani MLA in Nadia), Subrata Thakur (Gaighata MLA in North 24-Parganas), Mukut Mani Adhikari (Ranaghat South MLA in Nadia), and Ashok Kirtaniya are among the BJP MLAs who have left the party's official WhatsApp group (Bongaon North MLA in North 24-Parganas district).

  • Most of the MLAs are Matuas, and there are rumours that they left the party's official WhatsApp group since their community leaders were not given priority in today's reshuffled list of district presidents, district-in-charge, Bibhag-in-charge, and Bibhag convenors.
