
42% ministers with criminal cases, 90% crorepatis in PM’s new cabinet: ADR Report
Following the mega re-shuffle in PM Modi’s cabinet, of the total 78 ministers 42% of them have criminal cases in their name.
The report by the poll rights group, Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) further stated that of them 4 had criminal cases regarding murder attempts against them.
Further, 90% of the ministers (i.e 70 ministers) are crorepatis.
Four ministers -- Jyotiraditya Scindia (over ₹379 crore), Piyush Goyal (over ₹95 crore), Narayan Rane (over ₹87 crore), and Rajeev Chandrasekhar (over ₹64 crore) -- have been categorised as 'high asset ministers'- that is they have declared assets more than 50 crores.
