40% More Jobs Generated Under MGNREGA Till March 12
The Union Rural Development Minister Narendra Singh Tomar informed that in the current fiscal year 40% more jobs have been generated under MGNREGA scheme in comparison to the last year during the same period.
“Fund release to states/UTs is a continuous process and the central government is committed to making funds available keeping in view the demand for work,” the minister said in response to a question in the Lok Sabha.
“The ministry seeks additional funds from the ministry of finance as and when required for meeting the demand for work on the ground,” the minister also said.
