
15 Lakh Cases settled in Third National Lok Adalat, award over Rs. 2,281 Cr. to litigants.
Over 15 lakh of the more than 33 lakh outstanding and pre-litigation cases were settled, and a staggering Rs 2,281 crore was granted on Saturday at National Lok Adalats held in 33 states and union territories by NALSA, in a notable success toward reducing burden on the court system.

“National Lok Adalats are critical to reducing the enormous backlog in the country's judicial system,” said Justice U U Lalit, a senior Supreme Court judge who is also the executive chairman of NALSA.
