100-year-old man breaks the record for 100-metre track race
• 100-year-old Lester Wright broke the world record for 100-metre track race on Saturday.
• According to reports, Mr. Wright was competing at the Penn Relays, which is America’s oldest track and field meet, when he completed the race in just 26.34 seconds.
• The record was previously held by Donald Pellmann who completed the race in 26.99 seconds in 2015.
• Mr. Wright said, “If you’re going to go out to run a race, you should really run the race to try to win. I don’t know how you can run to be second or third.”
